C.I.D. Inspections offer both in-person and remote online general notarial services. We are commissioned in the State of Maryland. Our notarial services include:

Acknowledging records,
Verifying statements under oath or affirmation,
Witnessing or attesting signatures,
Certifying or attesting copies of records or items, and
Certifying that a tangible copy of an electronic record matches the original electronic record.

How It Works:

The notary public verifies that individuals signing documents meet the following criteria:

Their identity is authentic
They are signing willingly, without any pressure or intimidation
They understand the contents of the document or transaction

All signers must be present when documents are signed. Documents should not be signed prior to arrival. If a document requires additional witnesses, each signer should bring a witness with them.

What To Bring:

Individuals seeking notarial services must present valid, government-issued identification. Acceptable forms include:

A passport
A driver’s license
A non-driver identification card

If the identification does not display the correct address, a change of address card is also required.

Cost Of Notary Services:

General notarial services - The fee is $8.00 for each signature

Certification or attesting a copy of a record - The fee is $8.00 for the first copy of a document and $4.00 for each additional copy of the same document

Certification of a tangible copy of an electronic record is an accurate copy of the electronic record - The fee is $8.00 for the first copy and $4.00 for each additional copy of the same document

Photocopy of the notarized document - The fee is $2.00 per copy

Optional Certificates - If the document to be notarized does not include the required notarial certificate wording required by the State of Maryland, it is the responsibility of the individual requesting notarization to choose and attach the correct certificate. The notary public can provide the selected optional certificate at no additional cost.
