In Maryland, a notary public must not notarize any document that does not include the required notarial certificate wording. Since C.I.D. Inspections are not attorneys, they cannot determine which type of notarization is appropriate for a document. It is the responsibility of the individual requesting notarization to choose and attach the correct certificate. Below are examples of certificates that may be attached to ensure compliance with Maryland state law. The notary will supply the selected certificate at no additional cost.
